lost and FOUND

yeyyyyyy!! finda is there again!
a neighbour of anabel's grandparents brought the missed cat to them, it was found in their garden (anabel was there on a short visit at easter).
the poor poor thing was all alone there for so many days, without a shelter and without anabel....
anyway, thank you all who crossed your fingers, thank you for your compassion, - it helped!!

finda: home sweet home- this is the most typical way how anabel holds me!

cat missing!

we're grieving: anabels beloved FINDA, her baby, her cat, is missing :(
it was lost possibly at anabel's grandparents' whilst taking a walk at easter.
it is very very unlikely that somebody from that village would be reading this post, ahh..
so i made an announcement - to be pinned on every tree in vilshofen:

the cats in the basket

it's a snapshot of a still-life in a bookshelf taken a couple of years ago at the home of a friend of mine in riga. as one can see, i primary focused on the sweet letter written by a little girl to her mom.
now i notice the toy next to the letter - the cats in the basket.
a flashback: i KNOW how it feels to push them down, then they pop up giving a squeaky sound! ...

i dug in the archive of film negatives of my brother and found this filmstrip showing a little girl with the cats. it's dated: spring 1973.
the girl is about a year and a half, and her name is ieva :)

this post is a belated answer for jane (from the blog nearness of distance). she posted once about the instant film camera from fuji - fuji instax; i have one too. mine is not so good looking as the one in her post. and the pictures are... hm.. well... as a hardcore polaroid-fan i'm not really convinced.

PS 14.06: sorry, erratum. sein name ist herr nilson (nach dem affen von pippi langstrumpf) - wurde ich gerade korrigiert (danke, anda!).
herr nilson ist mitte dreissig, ein unfreiwilliger transsexueller: zuerst HERR nilson, dann FRAU nilson - damit man ihm, ähm ihr, kleider und röcke anziehen kann. und jetzt ist das wieder HERR nilson. was für 'nen lebenslauf! ;)

und jetzt sind sie schon zu zweit - meine marienkäfer :)
beide bei ebay gefunden, - der erste eher zufällig; den zweiten habe ich schon gezielt gesucht. und ich suche immer noch. ich bin richtig süchtig nach diesen marienkäfern! also, wenn jemand einen übrig hat, bitte melden ;)
ich habe auch wirklich keine ahnung, wie alt die sein könnten, und von wem sie hergestellt worden sind. mich fasziniert auch die tatsache, dass mein zweiter marienkäfer quasi "der selbe" wie der erste ist, aber trotzdem unterscheidet sich - in der leicht runderen körperform und in anderen mini-kleinigkeiten!
die beinchen "krabbeln", das heißt, bewegen sich beim ziehen/fahren...

das perfekte holzauto

holz - wie auch leder, blech, stein und andere naturmaterialien - altern schön. deswegen kaufe ich keine neuen spielsachen im kaufhaus. zumindest nicht aus holz. sonst braucht man "ewig", bis sie schön bespielt werden, etwas an patina gewinnen.
wir haben viele autos aus holz, aber dieses hier ist mein liebstes. so schön "tollpatschig" und zugleich formschön. da ist nichts zu viel und nichts zu wenig. die räder - mit holzdübeln befestigt.
es wurde meinem ältesten vor etwa 13 jahren als mitbringsel aus chicago geschenkt. so weit ich mich erinnern kann, war dieses kleine auto auf einem garage sale gekauft, also schaute es schon damals ungefähr so aus...
