another home

RESUMÉE: another "real home" - a five-level townhouse, built in the 30-ies; the terrace added in the 60-ies; a couple of years ago the walls between the kitchen, the dining room and the living room have been removed. the owners: a lawyer (professor), an author and their three years old son.

more reading..

things wabi-sabi have a vague, blurry, or attenuated quality -
as things do as they approach nothingness (or come out of it).
once-hard edges take on a soft pale glow.
once-substantial materiality appears almost sponge-like.

jonathans creations

papa's i-phone (with the image of the earth on its display)

jonathan is ill. it changes a lot in my working schedule, of course, but so is life with children...
so we're staying at home, and jonathan is drawing, and ...
... and we decided that it's time for jonathan's own blog!

et voilà: jonathans creations is online!

it's only a beginning, of course, but there's a never ending flow of "material" piling up every day and waiting to be posted ;)

winter's coming

der winter kommt, verstand ich als ich meine winter-handtasche herauskramte.
hier ist sie.
picard (schon klar;). nicht aus der neuesten kollektion natürlich, aber immer noch heißgeliebt.

this is about my winter handbag (von picard).

children's bureau

well, actually i still have a "blogland-prohibition" (i've lots of work, at least until the 23th of october, and blogland can be verrry seducing and very time-consumpting - as a few of you probably know ;) ... there is so much of "material" waiting for being posted though - what a pity ;)
well, i cannot help myself posting this photo-serie, a scene which reminds me of an architect (?) and his client:

working hard...

"no photographers, please!"

"... where did we stop?"

"... so, and here, let's say, some 60-70 centimetres ..."

"..ok, i'll show you.."

the last corrections...

well, the result looks more like a script though ;)

the pleasure we get from freedom from things.

... and hallo!

hey there! i'm back, but.. in fact i'm NOT (yet back in the blogland). i've sooooooo much to do (deadlines eating me up), so i won't be able to show new things here for a while, although i'd like to...

this is a lion, drawn by jonathan in a couple of minutes today morning, just before leaving for the kindergarten.
the creativity of children makes me envious sometimes ;)

bye-bye

i'm off 'til september.

thank you all for your comments and sorry to those whom i haven't managed to respond yet.

i have to pack for (at least) 3 of us, and .. my heart stood still for a moment yesterday as i realised that anabel doesn't have a passport!!! she never needed it, since it is her first travel abroad. so that had to be done too today. we managed (big sigh of relief!).

i don't think i can write and recieve emails, i guess. but possibly i'll be able to check my blog for new comments, so feel free to leave me a message (or two) ;)

tschüß!
