did you know that the production of 1 kg cotton takes 20.000 liter water? and there are 19 billion tons of cotton being grown a year, and 50% of all pesticides in the world are used for growing cotton!

oh, was für zauberhafte kleidchen. ich habe keine tochter, aber meine jungs anziehen fand ich auch immer ganz toll. eines tages haben sie dann selber eingekauft und nicht die mama mitgenommen, sondern klassenkameradinnen:-).

AntwortenLöschenGanz Deiner Meinung. Ich versuche auch, nichts Neues zu kaufen und gebe die Sachen meiner Tochter auch immer weiter. Ihre beste Freundin ist ein bisschen kleiner. Sie freut sich immer ganz doll darueber, etwas von meiner Tochter anzuhaben, wenn sie es einmal geerbt hat.

AntwortenLöschen@soisses: ja, ich weiss! ich habe ja selber zwei söhne, und dann kam anabel, und ich merkte schon eine steigerung in der freude des kleideraussuchens.. leider lässt die mode für jungs (in kaufhäusern, massenproduktion) leider viel zu wünschen übrig. für babys noch ok, aber je älter die jungs, desto schwieriger etwas zu finden, was nicht militärfarbig, mit agressiven drucken und sonst wie langweilig wäre :(

@helene: :) ja, das kenne ich. ich habe ja noch einen 17-jährigen jungen;)
@mano: ja, dieses kleidchen hat eine witzige geschichte: ich habe es zufällig bei h&m gesehen, vor JAHREN, da war ich nicht mal mit jonathan schwanger (er ist heute 4)! ich habe mich in das kleidchen verliebt, und wollte es einfach als wanddekoration kaufen ;)
@trula: gerade habe ich dein etsy-shop angeschaut - du machst ja aber selber wunderschöne anziehsachen!!
we too inherit many clothes from relatives and friends... it is so good, and then you too pass it on again until it wears out or the patches you have mended wear out!
AntwortenLöscheni didn't know. that's a lot of water =( but i buy practically all my clothes second-hand, have done for the last five years. it's actually a lot more fun than regular shopping, you get your own personal style and get to feel good in the bargain!
AntwortenLöschen@beauty comma: yes, absolutely! i so agree with you. me too,since i've discovered one really good second-hand shop here for women, i use to buy the most of my clothes there. so i can wear exquisit labels which normally would be far beyond my financial possibilities. and a shop like that is MUCH MORE fun; i use to call it "my wardrobe of a diva" :))
